"Why don't you not yell"

If I were to say "why don't you yell at your game" then that would imply to yell, by saying "Why don't you not yell" it implies do not yell. Its correct. Correct me if I am wrong.

Its not a double negative, at least I don't think so.

I think I should have formed it as "why don't you try and not yell at your game" still the same question and context just formed differently. I can see how "don't" would be a contradiction in the first statement. Its just one of those things I guess
