in other words, around here at least, $2k is nothing in vet bills. The last time Miss Belle actually had a problem, it cost me about $8K. Both me and my wife were out of work at the time, and struggling financially. I paid it without even blinking.

My wife is tough as nails......her mom died here in the house some few weeks ago, wife as her side......

then about 2 weeks later the 14.5 y/o chiwawa who should have been put down about a year ago, instead of getting sicker and sicker and arthritic /hearing/eyesite and crapping/pissing all over the kitchen floor.....well the dawg finally stopped breathing, and so to the vet for put down....., at least it was just 11 bux to have it done and dawg outta misery....

the female/smaller of the two cats is skinny as hell, and shaggy fur, but seems to be able to get around, and not pissing/crapping all over the joint....so it's fine...so far.....same age 14 something....
