How do you know it wasn't a put down? You may know that person as a jokester, I certainly don't.

Sorry, that's not the way I took it, I took it as the written word and as the meaning of how it was posted. I do not know that person, I do not follow that person's posts, I didn't know the context or inference of why it was written in that way. So how am I supposed to know it's true meaning?

As I said, I took it as the written word. Some folks do mean what they write, why do they write it in the first place? If that was meant to be funny, it didn't work.

First; I do realize typed words express no emotions and there was no smiley.


How do I know it wasn't a put down?...just like you said; because I know the guy.
I also know he's an old geezer.
I also know he jokes a lot and kids with people.
I also know he doesn't take serious random stabs at people he don't "know".
When you talk to him he has this slow draw....like he's touched.
He's a very friendly and generous guy.

I realize you don't know that.


That said; I'll take typed words and immediately think it's a joke vs. thinking somebody is taking a dig at me.
