Sorry to hear about your friend Jeff, God Bless.
FWIW, I lost a friend in a similar way a few years ago, he was 38. |

Sorry. Similar thing happened to me a few months back. I was close friends with Paul while we worked together for 15 years. We were both into cars, military collecting, etc...We had a close friendship while working together and I guess that's what kept it going. When I left we would exchange a few emails over the years, but that was it. I'm sure both of us thought we would get together for lunch or something anytime we wanted to. We haven't worked together for 18 years and hadn't exchanged messages in about 5 years. Another mutual friend notified me about his death. He had a bout with cancer when we worked together, but seemed to have had it beat for what we all thought. His wife seemed to think it was a blood clot. He was only 61. It was fairly quick, too...within 6 months of starting chemo. His son had just started at Georgia Tech and his daughter still in HS. I don't think he had an enemy in the world and was a good Christian. It just seems weird him being gone. I just always had that thought...we will do lunch or get together sometime. We have the rest of our lives.

You always think you will have more time to do whatever with somebody. I was hoping to get some tips from Mark on using my D3400. Thank you everyone |

I went to Mark's viewing this afternoon and had a nice talk with his lovely wife, Laura. She's doing OK ( considering .... )
My buddy Jim was right in front of me and reminded Laura and myself of some of the other things Mark did. At a recording studio in NYC, ( mid 70s ) Tom Petty bummed a cigarette from Mark in the hallway. Mark didn't recongize him although his bandmates were in awe. Mark also was at the urinal next to David Bowie while they both answered nature's call. ( I can still see Mark smiling telling this story saying" How many other people got to piss next to David Bowie? ) I will end with Mark's signature "good bye" I'd like to stay but, I gotta go. |
