Exactly.

You pay a premium by purchasing from a dealer. Waste of Money

Apologies for the earlier post, I’m use to a place that busts balls of people regardless of subject matter or the relationship of poster to said ball buster.

I’ve reported my post and await the consequences (not really)
My feelings aren't hurt, just used to deserving getting my balls busted for being a hump myself, not for a serious question. In any event, thanks for the input and the snark. I am sure I will get in the groove here, thanks for the callous.

To Raazor's point, why not look at the residual on the lease vehicle and see if it makes sense to buy it out then flip or trade it in. sometimes this can net you a few grand which makes it worthwhile. Next, if you decide to turn it in, simply let the dealer know you are turning it in and considering buying a car from them so long as you don't feel like you took it in the bum on the lease return, but sign nothing on a different vehicle until such time as the lease is returned.

You're well overdue Good luck with the plan although you should look sooner than later. The deals on the left over C7's, especially after the C8 hits the road should be great.

I'd wait for the C8's to come out before jumping into a C7 at this point. Even the Z06s will come down significantly in price.

My wife's last car had a small ship in the paint on the front grill. Touch up paint kind of chip, very small. We got a final bill and it included 650 bucks for a whole new grill. The dealership shrugged their shoulders when I challenged it, I think if we had got another car through them it would not have even been a thing.

I ended up getting them to eat it, but I had to shove pretty hard. No fkng way was I going to pay it.

Also strong ponytail.

I did find something that was helpful when shopping for my C7; I will try to find it.

So make sure everything on the car is tip-top before you return it and then go buy your Vette wherever you can find a good deal. Limiting yourself to a single dealer on a used car purchase for a specific vehicle is likely not going to give you optimal results.

My plan to get back into a Vette last year was thwarted when I bought a 'Mero instead.
