.......to do another shadow box for a WWII vet, not a whole lot to work with, but I'll get there. Will post finished project when completed.

Very cool, a bit of history I never knew. Even before we officially entered the war, we sent troops to Iceland, to help them prevent attack by Germany.

Would be great if Trump's plan to buy Iceland comes to fruition, especially now, knowing the history. We were willing to shed blood to defend Iceland.

OK thanks. He did a 6 month stint in Iceland before Normandy, the patch was on his uniform. Even though in the Army, I guess all military were entitled to wear while serving in Iceland.

Thanks, I appreciate that.
These older era boxes are a challenge, anything from Korea and before really require some research to get it right. Most of the smaller units served have been decommissioned and hard to find patches, etc. The families really are surprised I could come up with stuff they don't even remember.
These are great winter projects.
