Default If something could kill you, don't buy it from Harbor Freight

And yes, they've been recalled.

I've always used the ones with the extra safety pin.

I have a few sets of older HF stands but I think they are 12 ton sets and are very good quality.
Those shown are complete junk and suprised people haven't been killed.
I don't look at brand name as much as quality, I have a craftsman jack got on sale and saved until I ruined one of my other jacks. Well i used it a couple years ago and it's total shit and doesn't hold either. It's back in a corner to be looked at or just thrown out.

I have two sets of Jack stands. Both are at least thirty years old. Still work fine.

I didn't know that "Harbor Freight" and "very good quality" could be used in the same sentence

Aren't most deaths from jack stand failure a result from a homicide?

I bought one to cut 7.5" circular saw blades I was welding into an art project. Lasted 30 minutes, bought a DeWalt to replace it.

I've cut a shitload of tile and bricks with mine.. After my Dewalt took a shit.
I have there big hammer drill/breakup tool, it's a beast.
I have a 20 plus year old bench grinder won't die, their new ones look cheap though.
Engine hoists, stands, cutoff saw and the list goes on. I've worn them out and only the chop saw actually had a part break(cast aluminum) after 25 years.
I don't buy most hand tools such as socket sets through t them except for their impact sockets. Had the same 2 sets for many years.

I have a set of Walker jack stands and Walker floor jack that I bought back in the 70's. Made in the USA and they work fine.
