Do you begrudge people who have stolen money from you?

A few on line purchases. My own fault. I should have known better. Ex paid me, so no issue there. Professionally, there are customers that, if I had my way, I would take a hard line against, but it's not my business so the shit they pull is none of my business.

Edit: I have a VERY different attitude about people that try to rip off my parents. There is a list and I better never cross their path or them cross mine.

I DESPISE those that take advantage of the elderly. This past week a shop tried to get my parents to pay $1200.00 to replace a timing belt that was an 1 hour job.

Early on I had a business partner that was stealing. We'd literally JUST started in business. Wrecking yards were some of our first customers. Our partner went and talked one of them into paying our invoice in cash. We figured it out when we called about the overdue invoice and were told Louis already collected. Dude was a Hell of a salesman, because he actually believed his own lies. We parted company long ago. I wonder if he's still alive. Lots of pissed off people in his wake, and I suspect some of them were the kind that would, uh, let's say, take care of things privately.

Been boned a few times, once by a friend. I helped him out and he lied to me and I got the shaft. It was over a car and it got repo'd from me and I lost a shitload of money. I did forgive the guy eventually and gave him a chance to make it right, he gave me 25% of what I lost.
One time long ago with an online purchase of a door for an old chevy, guy lives outside Atlanta, he still has a visit coming.
As far as businesses, the one place worked for had their longest, dearest friend soak them for almost 20k after I had quit. Numerous people who worked there I had caught stealing, one they wouldn't let go and eventually he stole a few thousand before was fired.
Back as a teenager caught a quick change artist fooling our cashier, he didn't think I could clear the counter I guess. He was broke when I got done with him. I found out who else he had burned and we split his cash up amongst the stores I found out were burned, it was several hundred dollars. I had seen many of his profession but this guy was slick as hell. The cashier was new and just a kid and he preyed upon her.
I've been shafted over more than one auto repair/paint job so I pretty much gave up on paid gigs.

I tend to trust people at their word or with a hand shake (remember them?) ....so my ex partner (business) took off with 3.5 million of my $ .....have the IRS looking into how he stole $ from our pension fund too.....doubt anything will happen in my favor but.....my answer is ....yes ! I begrudge and hate people like this and he should get a huge herpes bubble over his ass hole and suffer a terrible time......( I don't wish death on him...just much pain )
