Many of you may have seen these over at the other place a LONG time ago, yes, that's GWiz, so you can see how old they are, but these are the best two pictures I've ever taken in my life....they were both taken with a Nikon D100 digital SLR with great lenses.

My old Canon 20D bit the dust at our last reenactment. Something wrong with the shutter button. It's not worth the repair cost. I may rip it apart one day just to see what happened though. I hear good things about the Canon SL2, although I always wanted to go FF with a 5D II. Many have said don't waste money and go with the 6D. Others say go with the Canon R. I think the SL2 fits all my needs when I decide to buy one and I have lenses that will work with it vs. FF.

You do have to watch your crop vs FF lenses on Canon. FF cameras have some definite advantages, especially with landscape and low light but the SL2 sounds like a pretty nice option. Are all you lenses crop lenses?

I have one old prime. 50mm 1.8 metal base. The rest are EF-S.

It's all about the glass, as you know. I'll bet that 50mm 1.8 would do a great job on a full frame, but replacing all your crop lenses would be spendy. One thing nice... Tarmon and Sigma have both upped their game and their best lenses are on par with Canon L lenses - and better in some cases. Still, good glass is really, really expensive. Good luck with the search!
