At this point, lets just agree to disagree.. Makes no sense to argue as neither I nor you all will change their mind. You guys think that Raptor and TRX buyers don't buy the vehicle for their performance and I do. Let's leave it at that unless there is a survey of TRX and Raptor owners.
I know that I buy vehicles for their performance as I'm a performance enthusiast.
OK. Now that's funny.

Just to keep the ignorance at a minimum in the thread,

The Raptor has not only different grill and hood. It has different wide body fenders and offroad style bumpers. It also has Raptor specific interior.

I imagine that to build a Raptor clone would out price the Raptor itself.

There is absolutely no way to define the level of ignorance in this thread as "minimum"

Let's not forget that the entire stupid discussion began by comparing the Cybertruck to the Raptor/TRX... and somehow coming to the conclusion that the Cybertruck was actually better.

It's been downhill from there.

...and I'm still waiting for an answer as to where Ford advertises the 0-60 (or 1/4 mile) on the Raptor, because of course the claim was that's the only thing that the people buying them care about.

Here, I'll even post the link again:
https://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/models/f150-raptor/

You’re a performance enthusiast if the definition of performance is limited to short straight line bursts. Most of us have a much broader definition of performance.

I'm not part of the small group of people who road race and therefore don't care about handling. Without proper training and tons of practice, you can't take your car to anywhere close to it's limits without a high risk of ending up in a ditch if you ever try to take your performance car to it's limits.

It's still hilarious that you think you have to be on a race track or driving like an idiot "at the limits" to appreciate how a car handles.

Well, with your choice of vehicles, that is as true of a statement I’ve ever seen.

Honestly, if you go close to the speed limit, you will never experience any benefits of a good suspension. Only if you do turns at highly illegal speeds can you take advantage of a good suspension. My Model X plaid pulls 0.86 lateral g in sports suspension setup which I will likely never experience.

Yea. It's still funny that you are absolutely incapable of comprehending anything other than a max number on a spec sheet.

Are you really telling me that you can't tell the difference in handling between a Ferrari and a school bus without reaching the maximum lateral acceleration on them?

If nothing else, you should have a good reference to the school bus with your Tesla...

Since when is .86 lateral G good? My wife's Altima can do that EASILY. Corvette's can nearly double that from the factory. This dude is clearly "special."

To a performance enthusiast it absolutely does.

It's ok if you don't get it. Most people don't.

I owned 13 Vettes. I had Z51 on 2 of them. I didn't see a noticeable difference between the non Z51 and the Z51 except that you'd feel more bumps going in a straight line. In curves done close to the speed limit, there was no f'n difference.
Sure, if I'd go 70 mph in a curve with 45 mph speed limit, you may enjoy the benefits but not at close to the speed limit. Speed limits are designed so that any car can safely go that speed on the particular street.

If I drive the speed limit in a Cadillac, strait or curves…vs, driving the same road in a F550 with a dump body…
I’m pretty sure that I would experience the benefits of a good Cadillac suspension.
Right?
No?

Most people tend to avoid topics that they don't know anything about.

Your ability to power through that and continuously say ignorant shit anyway is actually admirable on some level.

I drive an S6. Yesterday I drove an A6 around town. Same platform minus the performance parts. I wasn't racing it. I wasn't getting anywhere close to any limits of acceleration or handling. I could sure as shit tell the difference. I didn't have to have my foot to the floor to feel the power difference. I didn't have to be spinning out around corners to feel the handling difference. If you lack that feel, as I have said multiple times, it's ok. Most people probably wouldn't notice. Your problem, as usual, is the asinine belief that somehow your represent more than yourself and if you can't tell the difference, nobody else can.

Right?
No?

Not according to our resident Tesla slurper. According to him you'd only see a difference if you drive the F550 in turns at "highly illegal speeds".
