I feel genuinely sorry for people who can't get past the "unrealistic" aspects of movies. It's fiction. Analyzing the flight characteristics of an F-14 is not the point.

Do you hate old westerns because the accuracy of the guns is almost always unrealistic? Any war movie... ever? Every unrealistic fight scene in an action movie? Of course all car movies are out if it must be "realistic". Hunt For Red October is a great movie. It's not even close to reality. Where does it stop?

People for some time just want to bring the big guy down. We used to love it when someone was successful. Now its, minimize, bring it down. Find a technical issue that is stupid.
Enjoy the movie, it was a fun movie to watch. very entertaining.
The movie that was closest to submarine life was Down Periscope, or Operation Petticoat. You have to have lived it to understand.

Some folks just have to put down people, things, etc., whether good, bad, or indifferent. It's like they're jealous of what others have or do.
I guess it's the way they were brought up or it's just in their blood.
Oh well, I try to ignore them.

That's why I'm anxious to see the movie Rust when it comes out. I know the accuracy of their guns is great.
