Woof. I’m exhausted. We filmed a show for old folks homes and I sang all new songs I just learned the day before.

Before the Covid i was playing for Hospice, Asst. Living, and Alzheimer Centers. Now the majority of the patients are long gone, and not of the Covid.

It’s pretty sad how isolation is literally killing these people. We think streaming music will be viable for some time. Not sure it can make any real money but might provide paying gigs a few times a month. Right now it’s too much work.

Frank Sinatra is one HELL of a singer. I didn’t really get it until I started learning his stuff. I sang Fly Me about six times at full voice. Holy shit. It took every ounce of technique I have.

Frank credits his breathing techniques to his success. He would repeatedly credit the songwriters and composers (Nelson Riddle and several others) for his fame and fortune; but, he said that his early stint in Tommy Dorsey’s band changed his life. Tommy played trombone (so did I in school dayze), and Frank said that he carefully studied Tommy’s breathing and playing techniques and “how much he could put out on a single tank of air”. Anyway, your first hand experience about his technique is backed up and the stuff of legends in his day. Enjoy your gifts while you got ‘em!!
