Identify this car
Pulled pretty good off a stoplight, I wasn't racing but I think maybe he thought my thumbs up meant we were.

Well its a late 60s Dart Chassis.
It sort of looks similar to the car that asshole drives that does all the stupid Liberty Mutual commercials, the ones with the Emu! |

I actually remember thinking it was a Dodge of some sort because the stripes had "R/T" iirc. Definitely wasn't a charger though.
68 Dart seems correct. |

Unsispicious for the win. Darts used to be all over the place when I was coming up. Many with the slant 6 or 273 LA sb v8----both great engines. Far better cars than the Ford Falcon.

The Dart Swinger came out in 1969 in all the high impact colors. The ads read "6,000 RPM for under $3,000!"
A friend had a day-glow green one in the early '80's with the 340 and trak-pak (3.91 posi, etc.) and he could actually keep up with my 428-powered 65 GTO with tripower and 4 speed to about 80-90 mph and then I would disappear. That little Mopar was QUICK. He sold it for $1000 and has regretted it for the past 40 years. LOL. I still have the GTO..... |
