That is true, would prefer to be away from other industrial areas. I dk if I would go 100 acres, I think 15-20 would be enough for me. It would have to be near an awesome lake for bass and close to the flats for reds

I'd spend 200k on a small piece of land and a modest home (with a big garage) that I could afford the taxes and insurance on without the mil. Buy a much newer slightly used pickup. Set 25k aside for paint/interior/more mods on my vette. Invest/save the rest.

Mine is 30 acres. My father bought the land back in the 70's and passed it down to me. It has a good stand of trees, a pond, good pasture and a creek passes through it. It is my hope to retire there. I like GA, but I'd move back to the mountains of VA in a second if I could. The land is in Wythe county BTW, about 3/4 mile from the New River.
