This Lotus was totaled. The frame is multiple pieces epoxied together and the crash off the lift separated / delaminated the frame.

A very expensive "oops" all caused by not securing the front of the vehicle to the lift.

Even though decades ago, the typical gas station lift was a single post and 4 very solid arms, there is no way in hell I would ever use a TWO post lift totally dangerous, the only really safe lift is a 4 post with ramps hell with it, not talking doing a tire/brake shop with it, but other work......

I have always used my typical pump jack and a bunch of heavy jack stands.....

lucky someone not killed......

Years ago had a workmate whose 10 year old Chevy pick up fell off the lift at the Chevy dealer. They gave him full value for the pick up and let him keep the vehicle.

He claimed the vehicle ran better after it fell off the lift. He brought the vehicle to work and I didn't see any indication of damage.
