Just got my official "Essential Critical Infrastructure Worker" certification papers. I'm told I have to keep these in my vehicle and present them on demand. Guess I'll keep them next to my Glock 23.

I don't get it either. Like I said in at least one other thread, why would they pull you over just for driving down the road? All I have to say is "I'm on my way to the grocery store", and I should be free to go.

we were told our shop will be getting this type of letter as well. The state person who called us also stated "they're handing these out like candy".

So, COVID-19 is sooo bad that everyone needs to stay at home, but apparently anyone can get an exemption.

I believe when this is all said and done they will determine that this virus is only slightly more deadly than the flu, if that. I also believe that the damage done to the world economy will result, both directly and indirectly in more deaths for years to come. Procedures delayed and allowed to go to a critical state, diagnosis of diseases delayed. Children malnourished and the associated medical problems that come with that. The toll being paid will for this will last decades.

Quarantine the higher risk people and establish a means of caring for them and allow the rest of the world to carry on.

And in case you're wondering I have an underlying condition and am close enough to 60 that I'm at an increased risk myself. But I'm deemed essential so the risk to me must not be so important. I suppose they should rename the essentials to the expendables.

We are already to the point that if anyone came out and declared the US Wuhan virus free, the next person with the sniffles (1) Blames Trump (2) Files a class action lawsuit for all the people with sniffles (3) Encourages everyone to sue the .Gov for lost wages.

I do raise an eyebrow when a country like India goes into some kind of lockdown. They could afford to lose a few occupants.
