Haven't watched commercial television since 2005, except for a couple seasons of the walking dead, but I even bailed on that many years ago.
Haven't listened to commercial radio since 2006. It's bliss. |

Drives me crazy but in a different way than your original intent.
Himalayan pink salt from a mine tastes better than regular old table salt made in a lab or wherever they make it. We use it almost exclusively in cooking and on the table. JMHO YMMV STFU GTFO |

Shriners for sure. I have nothing again shriners but given how many of their commercials I end up seeing, their media budget must be massive.

Adam and Eve has one for 50% off sex toys early morning hours. More on an infomercial and the hot chick never demonstrates them

Also most table salt is processed to remove impurities prior to being made into granules of a very specific size. Obviously any salt that has a color other than white has other stuff in it, which does affect the taste and may even be beneficial. I particularly like the flake salt that is made by the evaporation of sea water in a few areas in France. It's sorta gray in color and is great when used to enhance the flavor of both savory and sweet things. It's even good on ice cream believe it or not. |

I have some stinky black Himalayan salt. Smells like sulfur when dissolved, something you might love or hate. I like it on a salad or eggs. If you cook with it, there is no smell or flavor. I like to use it for roasting garlic. |

Himalayan salt is far better for you than table salt and also tastes much better.
There are many minerals in Himalayan salt; harvested from mines etc Table salt is basically lab manufactured and cooked at high temps with nasty chemicals. That's why it spikes your blood pressure; we can't metabolize it in that form. Got a few hundred pounds of it if you're ever in the area. Be glad to hook you up with some. Scott

Thing is, natural salt in its pure form (sodium chloride) is indistinguishable from something "processed" because it is literally just a chemical made with two elements. The processing used to make mined salt into a consumer product is actually pretty minimal because there's really not much to do. They usually just dissolve it all in a bunch of fresh water, making a very strong brine, then skim off any impurities which tend to float on the surface or drop to the bottom of the tank, move the brine to another tank in a way that leaves the scum on the bottom in the first tank, evaporate the water, and then grind it into the appropriate grain size. Impurities can include heavy metals, but I'm sure that it's rather a small amount in the natural salts. Still, just know that they are removed from the "processed" salt. |

I thought table salt is tiny cube-shaped crystals. I guess it depends on the manner of processing. |
