Throughout the many years I've known of you on these sites,
one realizes the many troubles you've had and continue to go thru.
I'd guess you and your family have a good understanding of the grief
we're struggling thru right now. I'm positve many here have or are going
thru similar problems.

Marianne and I have nothing but time to think of what our future will be,
the uncertainty is nerve racking. We're still waiting on Bio-genetic testing
being conducted in AZ. (2 more weeks?) on the brain mass to determine
if she can have targeted therapy on her lung mass in a pill form affecting "8 DNA mistakes". Because she's a non-smoker, there's a possibility this gene
therapy will work, however her outlook is in the 2% range pre-test.
If this test doesn't pan out, she's headed for Immunotherapy with Chemotherapy in 3 to 4 weeks, with possible lung radiation to follow.

Before the lung treatments start, she has entered into a clinical trial
for brain radiation, starting in about 2 weeks. The trial is a random selection
of of either (a) 1 treatment of radiation(200 points @ 20 grey) directed to
the mass cavity site, or(b) 3 to 5 treatments of reduced radiation (200 points @ 16 grey). Both of these options are preferred over 10-15 whole brain radiation treatments.
The radiation and Chemo cannot occur at the same time, so the gene testing works out for now.
It has been a though 3 weeks so far.
