Dude!!

Imagine going to a big base in a war zone like Bagram or Baghdad. You will share shower/toilet areas with all kinds of weird asses. Hell, even once I spotted the Ugandan dudes that work base security checking IDs for certain areas in my shower trailer. How they got there I have no fukking idea. It was probably a novel idea for them to shower any way. Also, the area was non-secure but still, wtf?

Funny story time;

Background note - a combat shower is limited to three minutes and you can't just let the water run while shaving at the sink. Why? The water and sewer are moved by trucks. It's not a very efficient way and the limits help keep the system working. Now on to the story...

I had noticed some dude that looked familiar walk in and head to the shower. Dude hops in the shower and the fukking water is not even hardly turned on before he hops right back out. I mean, he's in there maybe a minute tops. All the while, I had gone to the sink, proceeded to shave, and let the water just trickle. I know, I know, bad me for wasting water. Sue me mufukker, I'm in a shitty place doing my best moving planes in/out for 'Merika. Anyway, the quickest shower dude in the West notices and says for me to turn the water off. In the process of mili-seconds, I think to tell him to get bent but since he looks vaguely familiar, I reply with a "No problem". Life goes on no harm, no foul. I get to work a few minutes later and my buddy and I chuckle about quick shower dude. I also state, "Isn't that the O-6 MSG Commander". The O-6 MSG Commander is our boss' boss. My buddy replies, "Oh yea, that's him". We chuckle more when I tell him about the shaving scene. Just think, I coulda retired immediately in a war zone.

Against my better judgement, we made a "routine" stop at Costco yesterday. Ho-Lee-Fook! Now they're hoarding fresh meat...no fish, chicken...hardly any beef left. Just a few gallon-size tubs of Hellman's mayo left.

Chobani yogurt....gone!

Random empty boxes strewn in the aisles like they've been looted after an NBA championship!

All we had in the cart was what we came for....a 6-pack of romaine lettuce, a bag of avocados, a tub of hummus and a bag of frozen shrimps.

Filled up the tank at $1.94 and high tailed it away from the asylum.

Then I remembered I forgot to stop in the liquor store.

I stopped at the store yesterday after work. I was gonna bring my AR but remembered I wasn't going to Wally world so probably wouldn't need it. The TP and paper towel aisle was nearly empty!! Luckily for me they had a big display in the back of the store. After $281.00 worth of groceries I decided that was enough and went home. I filled my 36 gallon tank on the truck. Gotta stop by the ammo store for some .40 S&W, .45ACP, NATO 5.56, .44 Mag, ands some 06. That should be enough to keep the looters at bay.

Bad news for me, the stupid has hit my area. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I went to the local ShopRite to get some chicken and eggs, just normal staples of our diet. The place was a zoo, people were clearly panicking, one lady was wearing a mask. The store seemed to have everything though.

The funniest part is that the line to the check out went almost completely around the store, definitely 200+ yards long to pay. When I gathered the few things I wanted, I walked straight up to the self-checkout part, paid, and left. I was in and out in 15 minutes, others must have stood in that line for 45+ minutes.

I'm going to use their own game against them. I'm going to order Chinese every night until this passes. Business is down at Chinese restaurants so they have plenty of food. It gets delivered so I can keep "socially distanced" too.

Let the loonies take Kroger's

2018 Ford F150 Supercrew 4 X 4. The extended range 36 gal tank was an option. I get roughly 700 miles to a tank.

Most Chinese restaurants are family operations, where every member of the family pitches in to keep the business running. Back in the kitchen, Grandma, who just got back from Wuhan, is busy chopping up your water chestnuts and coughing all over your food.
