For cops to be certified on tasers, they have to ride the lightning, or at least the ones here in Houston county Ga do. Have a couple of buddies that are former Sheriff's deputies, and like SeaSix, they pretty much said it was an entirely unpleasant experience.

My half brother is a cop in S.C. They had to be tased to carry them as well. Was pretty funny watching his video. He's a big ol boy & folded up like Chinese laundry.

One of my former high school friends is/was a guard at Graterford Prison ( maximum security federal prison with murders and other "kind" folks ). He was barrel chested guy in HS, he grew taller and bigger and played semi pro football for a bit too.

One of his co workers was in the gunshop and he mentioned Dave was there and was "kind of nuts". Anything you want to carry is used on you before you can carry it on duty.

Dave wanted to carry pepper spray. The other guard mentioned his was really nasty and even just being in the room choked you and made your eyes water.

Well, they spray Dave directly in the face with the pepper spray. He hardly fazes him at all. The other guy said he liked his lips and said "This would be good on a sandwich"

Video shows exactly why people who are only feet apart sometimes miss each other entirely in a gun battle. Cop flinches badly as he pulls the trigger... first dart out goes straight to perp. Second dart gets the partner as the muzzle jumps from the flinch.
