If guys like that come by, I just have to get the good beer out quickly, some wings in the fryer in short order, and some burgers on the grill, and I can talk my way out of just about anything.

Got fed up with a women who claimed she was getting a divorce. Husband called me while I was on leave and asked me to stop seeing his wife because he wanted to reconcile. I walked away and said the hell with it all. A month later I met my wife on a blind date, both of us had to be convinced to go out with each other at a friends business opening.
We moved in together three months later, married a year later and have been happily married for over 27 years. Not a single argument or fight in all this time.

When dating my second ex, maybe 42 some odd years ago, she had broken up with her first ex and moved into the high rise apt. building where we met quite by chance.....I was working on my car, and she was walking her dawg, I asked her to try starting the car once .....recognized her again in the lot, started to talk......some months later she got a title to house copy, and asked me to help her gain entrance to her house, as he/ex was in hospital and she wanted some personal crap of some sort.....so we drove over and the keys didn't work, so I used a screwdriver to pop out some of the Jalosie window slats on the porch, climbed up into the house and opened the door, were in the midst of getting her shit together, and the cops showed up, neighbor called them.....but the cops left the shituation alone, when she id's herself and shows home ownership.....she let him keep it......

then later on, he back from hospital and poisons her dawg by slipping meat under her apt. door in that highrise.......

so in the midst of all this we bought a canoe, since we were both 'water' people, Potomac river, Chesapeake Bay, etc.....and so she pulls into the parking garage and up a ramp with canoe on top of her 3/4 ton Chevy van..... smashed it bad, just before we moved into our first house together.....her father being an aircraft engineer had access to exploding rivits used on the assembly of wings/etc.....so he gave us a bunch of them, still have the left over ones....all these years.....anyway, I used them to repair the canoe in the basement of the townhouse.....
