Took the car to Cars & Coffee on Saturday... felt very tight w/ the Pfadt polys and the new Powergrid endlinks were 100% silent.

Looking good man!
You are a very very bad influence. You just built pretty much the exact the car that I have been planning on for a few years... |

My neighbor is a cop and she's cool with it Car has valid plates and a current 2-year registration and valid/current insurance as well. Only thing is I never got it inspected and don't plan on it. I ditched the horn setup, but I still have my blinkers and brake lights etc. I've only driven it to the local C&C event and to shake down around the block.
Get with it |

I was planning on this year as a starting point but I ended up having to throw $$ at the C4 track car... not much chance of selling it broken... so maybe next year I will move "up" and build the C5. I have learned a lot with the C4 over the last few years, mainly what not to do, so hopefully I can get a good car put together.

Yeah I researched C4s for about 5 minutes before I realized a C5 was the better option. When the C4 racers on the forums tell you to start with a C5 you listen

The lessons that I was talking about were in relation to the competition aspect and building a car to a specific class rather than to take an already built car and try to find it a home. |

Thanks man... it's an awesome car. Amazing what a mostly stock C5Z can do when setup right. The Porsche GT3 drivers get especially upset when they realize how stock it is. The car will dog a well driven GT3 w/o issue. They all come over in the pits wanting to know what all is done to it.

Roll cage time... door guttage, fuel tank removal, and roof removal happening. However, with this Z06 the roof goes back on.
