I'd probably get in trouble in PA.

Dam we had that same sort of bullshit in Schenectady NY. They bought thousands of signs & hardware and spent tons of taxpayer money because the old timers that ran that shithole did not like right on red. After a while it hit the court system and the city lost. More of the taxpayers money spent to remove the signs!

At that time I lived only a couple miles from that city so I was in it often..

NYS wasn't either then, but we've had right on red for 30+ years now, I'm guessing.

I don't know how to Google, so I'm sure someone will look it up and correct me.

That was always done in Michigan but about 3 years ago now nobody wants to. Me honking incessantly usually gets them to scoot up.

The only no turn on red in Michigan is usually if it's a blind view.

Biggest offender...women usually in some massive SUV for all their crotch monsters using one hand to turn left in a stretch Escalade who then LET GO OF THE WHEEL to reposition their hand instead of putting down the phone.

We have these signs that say "Slower traffic keep right" but they're just in black and white. We need them to be yellow at least and with a machine gun turret to enforce

I love the people who don't know what the white lines at intersections are for. So they pull through it until the white line is under their rear bumper. Then they wonder why they aren't getting a green.

I'm rarely around traffic, but I thought everyone was using BT now except for me . . . ? A buddy of mine, who is way less techy than I am, even uses BT.

I've never hooked mine up in any vehicles, cuz I don't want phone calls while I'm driving. If it's someone I know who calls, I'll call them back when it's convenient.

Massachusetts did/ does a lot of ****ed-up things to keep cars idling on the roads instead of proceeding along efficiently.

In 1970, the governor issued a moratorium on new highway construction within Rte. 128. Projects under construction were abandoned for decades.

Local towns are allowed to set the speed limits on non-limited access highways. If the residents don't like the traffic, then they just set the limits retardedly low.

One of the four-lane parkways that I used to travel through Arlington, I forget the name, had numerous at-grade intersections at fairly regular intervals. It made it easy for the traffic engineers to time the lights so you could proceed through at the 45 mph posted speed with few delays. Then one day, during the late 80s, the town decided to time the lights to deter traffic. They even had signs made: "LIGHTS TIMED FOR FREQUENT STOPS".

Black on white is a legal sign (you shall obey or risk fines); yellow is merely a caution side or suggestion. I agree with the machine gun installation.

I was just in Arkansas and they use stronger language: LEFT LANE FOR PASSING ONLY. People still ignore it.

Here in Orygun, the statutes are quite clear about semis NEVER allowed in the fast lane

Guess what happens all the time....

In most states that's only when there are at least three lanes in that direction.

The I81 corridor in Pennsylvania has turned into an inland port, where goods and raw materials are delivered, I think much by rail from out west, to new, huge factories/ warehouses. Then trucks bring the finished goods to markets throughout the east coast. This has turned I81 into tractor-trailer central. On my last trip I counted about two trucks for every passenger vehicle.

I81 through Virginia is a series of undulating hills. These truckers will start a pass on a downhill section, only to be stalled at the next uphill section. Traffic will be slowed to 10, 15 under the posted speed.

If you’re sitting in a left turn lane hanging out in the intersection with wheels turned in anticipation of a quick turn and somebody nails you in the rear you are pushed into oncoming traffic. Defensive Driving 101

That's why you should keep the wheels straight.
