The justice system has been broken for a very long time. In fact, it is better referred to as the court system since it is only marginally related to actual justice.

the rumor has it that Al Cowlings killed Nichole. The entire conversation in the white Bronco was OJ agreeing to take the wrap since he had a better chance of being found not-guilty than Cowlings did.

At that time EVERYONE liked OJ... he had no enemies or bad press back then. If this is what really transpired... then it worked.
