I have this one. Love it. But might be a little overkill for milkshakes.

I have two.....one an ex girlfriend gave me in college, and another one that belonged to my grandparents. Both still work just fine, both made in USA. Osterizers, both of them.

I only use them for frozen margaritas, and more recently, I've been on a green salsa kick, so I use a blender for that, too.

Specifically milk shakes? We have a Ninja blender and that works great for most stuff. If you want something for ice cream shakes and malts, get one that is for that purpose.

Hamilton Beach makes some really good purpose built machines.

Are you sure you want a drink mixer specifically, or might you need a multi-purpose machine?

My Oster quit 3 days ago. I thought I was buying a better one since it was one of the higher priced ones at the store. Like this one. https://www.amazon.com/Oster-BRLY07-...itchen&sr=1-62

Blenders serve a purpose, but are not necessarily the best for shakes. I use the blender for making dressings, pesto and other things that are easier made in a blender vs. a food processor. They also generate heat at the bottom of the canister which is not great for ice cream drinks.

If you are really looking for a single-purpose machine for shakes and other similar concoctions, get something similar to this:

https://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beac.../dp/B00004X135

You can go up in price and quality, but if you just want it for drinks, then go for an inexpensive one.

BTW, my Ninja will absolutely shank you like a gang member if you're not careful washing it
