I didn't say anything about being coordinated. We are just having a blast with it. There is a camera and you can do free dance - that it records. Needless to say being married to Gozar - it can be quite entertaining.

Dover and I walk REALLY fast, but I don't run. Couldn't yet with my foot even if I wanted to.
I just started getting back into running - I loved it in my younger days - both cross country and track, getting a little harder as time goes on - especially since I've added a few years . Now I will have companionship - I was told I couldn't run the Rotties until they were 18 months old - helps preserve their hips. Mason is so athletic - I am sure I will need to try to keep up with him.

I think I would have to shave ringo for one of those to work. I only use a leash when on the roads in my neighborhood, which is small and full of hills, so I don't really mind the pulling.lol It is good when it comes time to run up them.....although I have had several crashes coming down them. What I really should do is just get a pair of rollerblades and enjoy the ride!

Have you tried the e-cig? I've tried quitting 2x before cold turkey and started smoking again within 6 days - and every second of every day I was only focused on how long it had been since I had smoked my last cigarette LoL. I bought an e-cig (The Safe Cig) last week and have only been using it for 3.5 days but I have not had any desire to smoke a cigarette. Where I live I pay $6.25 for a pack of cigarettes and I was smoking around a pack a day. The e-cig cartridges are $2.50 each and I've been on the same cartridge for all 3.5 days. One cartridge is supposed to equal 1 pack of cigarettes but for me it has so far equaled to 3.5 packs.

I went with the e-cig vs the gum, patch, pill, etc because I feel that most of my addiction is mental rather than the nicotine - I smoke when I talk on the phone, take a break at work, etc because it gives me something to do.

They sell nicotine and non-nicotine cartridges and I bought both because I plan to start using the non-nicotine with every other 'smoke' that way I can start getting off the nicotine and then quit completely. In the meantime I'm not taking in the other 4K chemicals found in cigarettes and already feel 10x better.

Good luck!

I'm just trying to get back into some kind of workout routine this year. I was a regular at the gym for 5 years and got into body-building in 2009. Then in early 2010, I was forced into a sedentary lifestyle and lost a lot of muscle mass, along with gaining several extra pounds.

But now I'm down 30# and feeling pretty decent again. I won't ever lift weights again the way I used to, but I should be able to get back to a lighter routine now.

Good luck to everyone else with their 2011 plans!

Wasn't really a pledge. Went to see the doc the other day to discuss blood tests and other subjects(they are only a month and a half old but I already knew the results, had enought experience lately.) What if I would have had a serious problem you ask and didn;t know how to read a blood test, damn good question. I am a little skinny for my BMI. Blood tests all normal, everything else is ok so the doc pops off and says, "I want you to walk half an hour each day." So my non self appointed New Year's "resolution" is a walk around the block each day.

Down to 1 or 2 a day at the most.
Sugar is the worse thing you can put in your body, use honey or something else. I firmly believe is was a contributor to my getting cancer.

Weight gain is a lot better than smoking. If you really want to quit Chantix or Wellbutrin (Zyban) will do the job. I quit 14 years ago and came down with cancer anyway. The longer you smoke, well...............

I fell off the P90X wagon last fall after a move.

I pledged to get moving again. Not sure if I'll do full blown P90X, maybe just a light 30 minutes of upper body 3x a week and some stationary cycling.

I was doing Plyo 3x a week last year until I fell off the wagon. That was a bit intense.

My little pot belly came back in no time over Thanksgiving/Christmas. Ugh.

I have made no resolutions since I have never kept one yet, but I have to do something or I feel as though I won't make it until next year.
At this time I am in such bad shape that I can barely walk the 300 yards I have to walk in from the parking lot to my office. At home, climbing the stairs takes me 5 minutes to recover from. I had a cardio stress test last year and told there ain't nothing wrong with your heart, you're just too fat and in bad shape.

I gained weight when I quit smoking and I now realize it was all sugar related.
Be surprised what happens when you just cut out the sugar.

Crap, I could shave 35 pounds of glue if I can get my schiznit back together. Working in Boca is making my regular workout routine difficult.

I've been doing more cardio like running and the eliptical, but i need to start working with weights more.. but with thoracic outlet and a sholder that still isn't right, push ups are not high on the fun list...

I gained 30 pounds when I quit in April 2009. My wife gained about 10 when she quit on the same day. She's back down and I'm still +15 HOWEVER my +15 is muscle now and not fat.

The nice part is I can pop this into my DVD player and get a great workout every day at home without having to spend $ on a gym membership or fight traffic to get to a gym.
Hey Insanity buddy! I too did the Insanity thing as well as P90X. I just started another round of P90X with my wife (recovering/recovered from emergency back surgery last October) as well as with my sister and my nephew.

Sometimes feel the same way. I do try to drop some every year though. Just want to be healthier. Do not care about the number too much. All I can say is its a good thing I'm tall or I would have to worry about you mofo's trying to harpoon my ass during the summer.

I never thought I'd be "unfit" again.

But the only way to fix that is to get back on the fitness routine!

Week two here. About to head to the gym. Didn't walk Dover today. My Southern self cannot take a super brisk walk sucking in (literally) freezing air!
