My bone stock 1915 Ford Model T. 20 hp. It would get up and go pretty good because it only weighed about 1200 pounds, but 45 mph was the fender-flapping top end. Click image for larger version

1980 Rabbit diesel. Had to shut off the A/C if you got stopped on a hill. It did get 50 MPG though.

A '59 Impala I borrowed off my Dad's used car lot with just about no compression....zero to 60 times were in the minutes.... It was embarrasing to be seen in it.

Back when I owned a shop I traded a high mileage 2nd generation Expedition for a 3rd generation 4Runner with a blown engine and parts. After we put it back together the Toyota ran perfectly but was slow....

That would be my pick also for the slowest of vechicles I ever owned. My wife of 3 years just had to have a 73 station wagon with a 4spd manual. Two years later it had to have a new engine put in (warranty)

Learned to drive stick in a 1981 Rabbit diesel. 4 more HP than the 1980 (52 vs 48)! When dad was going to pass another car, he'd hit the fan switch to off to cut the A/C, drop a gear, pass, upshift, then hit the fan switch back on - all in one smooth motion. He'd even do it in the winter out of habit.

But the 1983 Malibu V6 diesel I bought at my first duty station was worse than the Rabbit. 85hp in a heavy shitbox. I'm still convinced that GM HP is about 1/2 of actual HP.

Slowest vehicle I ever owned was probably my '84 Silverado with the crappy 305 c.i. engine. Gas guzzler, no power.....worst of all worlds. Still my favorite body style Silverado, though. Lesson learned, get the 350 next time.

And my slowest vehicle was a 70's fiat 500 (yes, 500cc engine) with double pump clutch.

Wife's 1st car was a '77 B210 - unsafe to freeway merge, even with a stick shift. Got rid of that as soon as we could afford to.

In California, thanks to metering lights at the end of each freeway on-ramp, you need a car that will go 0-70 in about 3 car lengths.

I asked a highway engineer once what the logic was and he told me 'safety'. I pointed out that on ramps were long for a purpose, to get up to traffic speed for a safe merge, and that pulling into a lane of 65 mph traffic at 3 mph was very dangerous. He didn't understand what I was talking about. Asian guy, and an engineer.

I learned to drive a stick in my then girlfriend's Chevette 4 spd, no A/C. Made the anemic 305 Silverado seem like a rocket ship in comparison.
