Default Divorced after 30 years of marriage
I found out today at lunch that a co-worker got a divorce after being married 30+ years. He has two older kids who are in their late 20's. For as long as I've worked there, he's had a "friend" he goes to lunch with on a daily basis. I've heard he even picks her up and takes her home. None of us know if his wife knew, but he's been doing it for years. My point is, it's not that surprising in this case.

What is crazy to me is how common this seems to be. I've heard about or known several couples who decided to split after 20+ years of marriage. I guess the kids move out and you realize you don't like spending time with each other.

Just another reason I'm not sure I'll ever get married.

Anyone here gone through this?

17 years in. Marriage is a major pain in the ass, but it has its good points too. We're still hanging in there.
