Cool Ye Old Logging show ( pics)

Me John Haines of H&K Construction had his annual Ye Old Logging show today and I grabbed a few pictures.

LOTS of restored trucks, construction equipment and various containers were on display.

He had a toy train display in the one building.

There was so many there I couldn't get them in one picture due to the curve of the driveway. Cat's , Cletrac and a couple obscure mfgs.

Get it, new toy.

Mr Haines has so much more I didn't get pictures of. Gas pumps of various vintages, oil pumps , so many more trucks fully restored ( including the first Mack Truck the company purchased new) and walls of oil cans.

He even owns "Nelly Belle", the talking Jeep for the Roy Roger's TV show. It's currently on loan to the car museum in Becthelsville.

Lots of old restaurants around here with pixz like this on their walls -

I've stumbled across abandoned equipment rotting away out in the woods from that era. Big iron boilers and huge wheels from things like this -

Thanks for the pics, OP. One of my earliest memories (I'm 76), quite possibly the earliest, is of my father pointing out the chain drive on the Mack garbage truck that serviced our neighborhood at the time.

For a while in my adult life I had a 1 foot section of chain, that I was told was from an old Mack, on my desk at work. Don't know what happened to it; wish I still had it.

My old neighbor (where I grew up ) was quite the historian. Sam passed a few years ago at age 94. He mentioned hearing the chain drive trucks going down the hills in the area. He could also tell which farmers were running their hit and miss engines by the sounds they made.
