My kids are out of school on Fall break, and I'm off on Friday's. So....my 7 yo son is up, so I ask him if he wants to go to breakfast somewhere. He said, "yes, where are we going?" I tell him I'm thinking Waffle House, and he's like, "No, I wanna go to the Cracker Barrel. The Waffle House has naaaaaasty bathrooms and they look like someone wiped crap on the walls." I really can't argue with him....we're off to the Cracker Barrel!!

I am a WH fan after a night of drinking, like most folks....waffles, hash browns, and bacon, crispy please! Crapper Barrel gets worse every time, but I take my MIL there cuz she likes the vegetable plate.

My youngest son was home on leave this past week. I told him we'll eat anywhere he wanted.
He wanted to go to Waffle House at least once, because they don't have them in San Diego.

Cracker Barrell = slow, out of the way, always crowded with funny smellin' old people.

Waffle House = fast, at every corner, always crowded with people who work for a living.
Or having breakfast after a long nights drinking.

I really prefer Huddle House to either. Too me, they are just a little better than WH, plus their waitresses almost always have all of their teeth!

If you peeps insist on ruining your digestive tract at WH (in the last year or so at a WH here, customers were served a bloody BandAid, fingernail clippings, and a roach in their food), at least let me give you a tip: If WH serves grits in your area, what they do is flood your plate of eggs and bacon with grits 'cause grits are cheap. Order it like this: "Give me 2 over easy, lotsa crisp bacon, toast, and a monkey bowl of grits." A monkey bowl is the small, deep round bowl you see in restaurants. The waitress will know what you're talking about.
