I went to some protests this week. I don’t know if he was a civic leader or church pastor, but this brother said we all have two ears and one mouth. Listen to your brothers and sisters and try to be sympathetic and understanding to what they have to say. I’ve heard this before, but it was a good reminder.

Stopped in to the Subway gold mine in the Carlisle fairgrounds a few years ago and the wife and I ordered subs.

The amount of meat put on the role, combined that with a very limited menu and condiments, very high prices, long wait, and a crew that realy did not give a shit, really made a wonderful lunch.

When we got home put in a detailed complaint to corporate headquarters. It took a couple weeks but we did get a call from a man who said he owned that franchise. Told him quite bluntly that the whole experience sucked big time and as for the help it was obvious there were other places they wanted to be.

A few days later we got gift certificates totaling $25 and a written apology.

Sent him back a email said thanks, and used the coupons for gifts like to the mail man, UPS driver ETC. Never went in a subway since.

We still went to Carlisle and had food there but went back to places we had used in the past and things were OK.
