Double Delight: Fraternal twins are reunited after 78 years apart
Fraternal twins are reunited after 78 years apart.
Posted: May 05, 2014 11:53 PM EDT Updated: May 05, 2014 11:56 PM EDT FULLERTON, CA (CNN) – Fraternal twins Ann Hunt and Elizabeth Hamel were born in England in 1936, but when their mother - a live-in cook - couldn't afford to keep them both, Ann was given up for adoption. Ann never knew she had a twin sister until last year, when her daughter made the surprising discovery during some genealogical research. Ann still lives in England, while Elizabeth lives in Oregon. On May 1, after a year of getting to know each other via Skype, they met in person in California. The two say they have different personalities, but they noticed they gesture the same way with their hands, and have the same feet. One more odd similarity: the two women happened to marry men with the same first name. |
