That was where I was at with my 55 XK140 FHC about 10 years ago. It was my first forray into British restoration and I stopped after I dumped a PILE of $$$ into parts and bodywork and wasn't anywhere close to being finished. It's a game for the well healed for sure. Parts are at least double what they are for yankee cars, or even Jap crap.
I sold it, made my investment back and then some.
Guy who bought it is a Jag Nut so he knew what where and how. He's still got at least another 25K in it on top of what he paid me. He MAY break even in the end, but I doubt it.
All finished now.....nice job.

I sure hate that this has happened to you and your Jag. You deserve much better than this. I hope you are able to complete the restoration in within a reasonable cost and time frame. It is nice to hear Mike might of helped to find some advice and expertise.

I wish I was able to help you. I guess I could come over and supervise you and Tim while you are working on it. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I like getting my hands dirty.

It is beautiful. I love it when we get dumped on. Especially back in the colorado days. So peaceful and quiet out. It’s the being in it and moving a few tons of snow part that sucks. And if you have to commute, fk that. Then I hate it.

Evening weirdos and those 2 semi normal people..
Nothing like a day of popping pills like tic tacs to avoid a headache. Stomach will be haying me tomorrow.

Off to get grub in the morning and to pick up a set of 10mm sockets(autozone has a nice set) as i seem to lose them by the handful lately.
