Hell hip and knee replacements are now out patient surgery ! Yours should be a OK!
Unfortunately both my hips and knees weren't, back in the old days!

Wishing you a full & quick recovery.

I had a meniscus repair many many years ago. The only after-effects I recall, other than easily manageable pain, were swelling & tightness around my knee. And I needed crutches for a day or 2 around the house, especially on stairs. If the doc gves you exercises to do, do them. My knee always felt more comfortable after going through them.
