I often post I don’t deserve to even play with the guys I play with.

Insecure people often confuse confidence and ability with ego or arrogance while there is zero substance (e.g., show me ANYTHING ANYWHERE where I’ve talked of my musical prowess.

Here is a hint. You don’t get to perform with the big boys if you have a big ego. That’s the first thing that kills you.

I stand by my advice as a teacher. Playing in bars means zip when it comes to producing great guitar players. Most of my students surpass my skill and go on to other teachers or conservatories. What I claim works is backed up by decades of specific experience teaching kids.

Tell me about your band. You should be proud to post about it.

Nah, you didn’t say anything about my ego or accusing me of bragging by posting music threads (just like a hundred other members post a day).

Well,reading this thread before it was cleaned i'll like to get back on track with my results.

Following the advice here I did get him another effects pedal,while the ones suggested here are nice there are not readily available in time for the 25th(hashbrown,cool cat).
So after wasting about 10 minutes of my time at Guitar Center with the sales guy knowing even less then me I headed to the local music store and picked up w/patch cable an Earthquaker Plumes,has good reviews it was priced right and if he doesn't like it I can return it within 45 days for something of his picking.
