Today is my youngest son's 17th birthday. My son that lives with me was supposed to go there late this afternoon to have dinner with him and his mom and I was going to send a card with him. Before he left he was supposed to help me wash the Z06 since I am still hobbled.

11am and I am still relaxing with my 2nd cup of coffee and he comes downstairs dressed and heads for the door. I ask him if he's leaving to go to his brother's and he's like "Yep".

OK, thanks. No help washing the car and no birthday card for the little guy.

You are too nice... He'd got a hey fuker those don't look like car washing clothes and lemme see the card so I can sign it. And when he went uhhhhh.... You say did I studder go put some shorts on and grab the bucket. Oh you're gonna be late? Sucks to be you.


New hub on the caddy and threw in some new ac actuators, think I had one sticking and ac wasn't as cold as should be. Getting ready for trip north in the next week or so. Have a feeling i should plan on a month stay as he had a stroke couple months back and didn't want to worry me... Just can barely use left arm and 100 ft of walking and he's done for the day. The house will be a wreck as he's been sick for several months now and no maintenance will have been done. Already have 2 cars of his to fix and another 2 or 3 lined up to work on for his family.
Garage needs a roof over, probably throw some shingles on it while at it and make sure won't leak for a few years(small and I mean small garage). Hmmm need a new air tool anyway.

I washed the car myself. Took a while, but got 'er done.

Need to go back out and do the door sills, engine bay and cargo area, but the major work is done.

5 step process; High pressure rinse, foam cannon, hand wash, high pressure rinse, and topped with an application of Beadmaker.

Car is done. Had a little post-detailing feast (12" chicken & beef shawarma) thanks to uber eats and mrs Flex.

Now time to take the roof off and go for cruise and beer run.
