Big brother is always watching where and what we do at work. I've had to put the call into the help line to get some sites I needed for work unblocked. By the time they got around to it I'd found other sites and was able to get the information and order the parts I needed. Our IT group tells everyone it is to conserve bandwith yet they stream the hell out of propaganda over the net at us whenever we are on our homepage.
UGH.

A company will or will not turn off access to the forum no matter what those two fools do to prevent it. The whole family friendly nonsense is Jesse's way of putting his fundamentalist Christian values into the forum. Parents will or will not keep an eye on their kids internet activities. Contrary to what they may believe, people really don't sit there and scrutinize Corvette Forum and walk away saying "Gee...what a lovely environment!" They just don't care that much. So my point is that they RUINED what was fun about CF and it was all unnecessary.
I gotta fuggin agree

You have to remember one thing Mike, you were taught respect. In today's society a large number of people just want to see how far they can push things. If they get caught, everyone pays and the guilty always have an excuse. The little freak I work with got caught emailing porn videos to a county commissioner's daughter from his work email. At one time we had a total of 6 websites we could go to. I had to BEG to get them to open up The Barn.

That's such a bunch of BS too...clearly Pewter and Grumpy have a lot of free time...100,000 plus posts...what else are they going to do?

Amen to that. Favorites are played.

In the grand scheme of things, it is work safe. And so is this one.

There is a tremendous difference between companies using automated filtering software to auto-block any site found to be dangerous, malicious, profane, pornographic, etc, and the bored IT guy reviewing web history on specific machines.

The point being, seeing a machine that's often visiting sites like "thevettebarn", or "corvetteforum" may be all the info needed for someone to decide to block them. Actual content irrelevant.

Just because any site is "work safe", doesn't mean your employer agrees it's making the best use of your time at work.
