I can put a harness bar and 5-point belts in the car and remain in the stock class. Safety doesn't push you out of a class. Having said that, this new Z06 is a fun car, but a forever car, thus I'm not going to beat the snot out of it.

The 2008 Z06's new engine should be here in about 4 weeks, and that 700 hp beotch is going to run CAM-S on the national level. I have a race car, it makes no sense to beat on other cars when I can beat on a Monster!

And Lars, you are correct about your estimate. When you add in the interest over the life of the loan, it's nearly exactly $200k....for an effing Chevrolet.

Profit is definitely in finance, and I'm not giving the dealer the ability to pad the rate to make more profit. I'm removing all variables as the date arrives. 5.89% is extremely competitive in this landscape.

The last unknown is the trade-in value. Going to get an offer from CarMax and Carvana here shortly. I am hoping for a number that starts with a 7, but it may end up in the mid 60's, which sucks, and means more cash, but it is what it is. As it sits, with the options, this car still retails for north of 80k all day long.

The Z06 was on my roadmap since December 2019 when I gave the deposit for the '21, and it will be a forever car. No looking back.
