Default Wile E. Coyote is going to get shot
Leah goes out first thing this AM, out for about 10 min, i started to worry, grab her favorite toy, squeak it, and 2 coyotes show themselves. uh oh. i take off hiking (in slippers and jammies), hear her bark, spot her, and she comes running to me.

get inside, she drools a little on the floor, which is unusual, little blood in one spot, uh oh. clean it up. later see a bloody spot on her left rear. time to call the vet. bring her in. small wound, time for pills.

no more going out first thing off leash Leah. can't afford it.

$102 later, she enjoyed her pills and dinner.

pretty sure a 30-06 is plenty for a coyote.

You're already dialed in on those .30-06 loads. Squeak that toy and make the fur fly

If you manage to get real lucky with how they appear, you could get a "two-fer" with one shot. Plenty of punch in those bullets

Neighbor told me she saw a Coyote with a cat in its mouth at 7:30 this morning. I've seen them around here, of course it's too much of an urban environment to dispatch them. Yotes are real bold around here.

Put the fear in them and kill a few, maybe they will stay gone.

30.06 is more than enough. .223 will do the job if you have one.

We have always been able to hear them near by, but last week was the first time I spotted one in my yard, and I have been here since 1984! I keep 60gr sub-sonics in my .22 rifle, and it won't survive that hit!

as we were walking back in the house last night after last walk, we could hear them about 100 yards away over a small ridge. got Leah inside quick. didn't see them, but i'm seeing a lot more coyote poop around the property lately.

Tip: Leave the coyote poop there. It (or any dog poop) will ward off skunks. Skunks don't like coyotes.

Oh, I see SFe NM....my sis used to live there for a few years....south of town in an old development tied into some artist community I forget the name of it....

I got an email from one of the AR vendors I follow tonight... Complete M4 contour 5.56 chamber parts kit including a premium handguard and a bolt assembly and charging handle for $279.00 all in. Add a stripped lower, sights or an optic, a mag or 3 and go hunting. Quality parts at the lowest price I can ever recall seeing for a complete kit. PM me if anyone wants details.
