Door Controls Not Working???
The window and locks for my passenger door have stopped working. Anybody know what's going on and/or how to fix this? It's pretty irritating.

Two most common causes:
1. The wires/connector in the accordion tube between the door and car. The accordion can be pulled back to expose and inspect the connector for corrosion/loose connection, and/or wires that may have worn through the insulation. 2. The pass. door control module is bad. This is located in the door and contains the relays for the lock/window functions. Easily accessed with door panel removed. Though left and right door modules are different, I seem to recall they can be swapped for testing purposes. Replacement modules can be found for about $100. |

Smiler thing happened to me...Bad ground wire in drivers door connector on car side. Not door side. I used a pick to push the female side of the connecter back together and all is good for three years now.
