We always tell new people; yes our dogs are show dogs, and yes we have expectations for them when they're training and showing. However, they're our pets FIRST. The minute we sense they are no longer enjoying this, the showing stops.

Great event and a cool attitude about showing your dogs. There are those that take it too seriously and take the fun out of it.

I love the Samoyed close up. You can see the drool on his little tongue.

our Rosie was a pound doggie. originally adopted by my mother in law, then we took over when she could no longer care for Rosie. years ago, in MD, Rosie was out in the fenced back yard, just poking around checking on things, and she comes back with a little cut under her eye. didn't appear to be in pain, but it was a little nasty and required a run to the Vet. pretty sure she poked her head into a small spot that had a loose piece of wire fencing. the Vet said she'd be ok, and wanted to know if he should stitch it up (which he would if she was a show doggie), or just let it heal naturally, and there would be a small scar in her fur under her eye.

ummm....Rosie is not a show dog, just let it heal up naturally (we applied some meds for a few days).

recent shot of Rosie, wanting to know how could i eat the last piece of steak without offering to her first!!

Looking at those big beautiful eyes, I have to wonder how you could eat that last piece of steak also.

Antelope steak. Mmmmmm.

Hard to see in that pic, but her eyes are different colors.
