Something new
So where did the first production set of Vertical Door's new C5 Zlr hinges go?
To the BARN These things are very well built and work very well. Gotta say "Thank You" to ShopSFM and Vertical Door for getting these to me More pics to follow... |

Meh about the doors. I think they look better on the lambos. Vettes, not so much. Looks like they twist up too much too, but looks well engineered. |

The important question... does it make it easier to get in and out of the car, in a narrow parking slot or small garage?

Also when the doors are open you could use them as tables for snacks and promotional flyers. Last edited by Munch; 07-04-2011 at 8:23am. |

Kinda like an Autobot transformation... that gets stuck at "doors only" then.

That's cool.
Do the windows have to be down with your top up or will the doors close without the windows hitting anything? |

Vertical Doors Inc has a couple of YouTubes that answer most of the questions: My understanding is that you need a min 3 feet clearance on the sides to fully open the doors. Also, the windows do not need to be down in order to open or close the door. By the way, I am new to this Corvette forum, so hi to everyone and I hope to contribute here as well. I was not a fan at first of vertical doors but have come around and this type really is appealing to me. I have a 2000 MN6 coupe black/black but I am in the process of completely redoing the interior with Corbeau A4 seats in a custom color leather and matching leather dash, door panels, console and trim pieces as well as changing out the carpet.
