Well, I TRIED to get 21 year Glenmorangie at Total Wine, but they didn't have it, just the 18 year that I got you.

So I figured I'd try this...a little splurge for my birthday.

I'll report back how it compares to the Dalmore and the stuff you let me sample.

Yummy, and WAY better (and smoother) than the stuff in JC, but still not as smooth as what you shared with me. I like your stuff the best.

Friggin Scott. Hasn't even replied to this thread yet, yet look what showed up at my door step this evening...

Scott clearly doesn't understand that my generosity was out of his (and Ben's) constant benefactorship toward GWiz as she's grown up. I don't need anything in return, but the gift is MOST appreciated.

Now you're it! Wait for what shows up next.

Glenmorangie 18 has been one of my favorites for several years. Very smooth, wonderful taste profile and doesn't break the bank.
Glen scotch shows up in my scotch class almost every other time.

Their 21 is very smooth and there is a bit more density to the flavor than younger batches.

Sorry I've been running man. Just got back from CT and spent all day trying to play catch up with my newest employee out sick.

Was stoked for you to try our the new scotch and see what you think.

The scotch snobs say they can pick out "notes of coconut" on the palate.

Happy birthday in a bit over an hour brutha

p.s. now we gotta work on your beer palate
Scott

Beer spew.

I like craft beer. Turn me onto something. I like the fruity stuff, like Shock Top and Blue Moon.

Thanks again for the generous gift. I'll give you a full report tomorrow. Been up since 3:30, so bedtime for bonzo now.

The Glencadam you got me is really nice, and has a nice aroma. Has quite a bit more bite than the Macallan of the same age, but both bottles will be around for awhile. I definitely prefer the scotch to be extremely mellow, with little to no bite. I can definitely taste the multiple different flavors in both.
