Lucy Li, an 11-year-old golfer, will become the youngest in history to compete at the U.S. Women’s Open in June. She is a student at the Jim McLean Golf School in South Florida and has already built quite a golf resume:



– She qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links qualifier as a 10-year-old. She was the second youngest player in tournament history (the youngest was Allisen Corpuz who qualified when she was a few months younger than Li.)

Gifted kids are great.....but. Kid athletes don't have a good track record when it comes to them handling the pressure of fame and wealth.
Let them be kids. Let them continue to hone their skills. And when they're old enough, and hopefully mature enough, let them take on the world.

If someone qualifies, they should be allowed to play. Michelle Wie started at 12 and it seems to have worked out pretty well for her.



The only 2 reasons I can think of to ever watch the LPGA are Natalie Gulbis.

Another great question would be... In Cali...I can be a man...yet if I gender identify as a woman I can use the female bathroom. Does this apply to professional sports then?

From a money standpoint yes (thanks to Nike), but from a golfer's standpoint? She is the definition of not living up to expectations. She was going to be the female Tiger Woods, she has done anything but. I think a lot of that is due to pressure.
