Update from Davie...Squalls about 45MPH no power loss no satellite loss yet which is unbelievable a few palms on the ground from the Royal Palms. Was just outside no rain but windy. A lot of tornadoes being spawned off though at the moment.

We've been getting warning regularly. I decided to watch a movie. Donovan's reef. After two hours of the movie and several Manhattans I am no longer concerned.

You make a claim that your business was looted they then check the statisitcal data for the area and change the rates.

If you are a business with single indecent of robbery in an area then you get your rates pulled down by the norm. If dozens of businesss on your block get looted you get screwed.

It's the law of averages. Look at all the areas that had looting. Dead for years afterwards due to lack of insurance and bank support.

You wrote that being a kind hearted person. Now read what you wrote being a business person who wants to maximize profits.

Your insurance business now has to pay out large sums of money. They will want to build up reserves and will increase premiums whether they can.

While your dad's agent told him something along the lines of "your premiums will stay the same if you have a claim", he will end up blaming corporate for altering the rate bases and his premiums skyrocketing.

They do. They Screw you. And they should. When you have a business in an area where that stuff happens the Insurance companies make you pay for it , Up front and forever.

Look at a"Disasters" in NH VS New Orleans. Almost no looting in NH. The area rebuilds quickly.

New Orleans is still screwed from the looting after Katrina.

7 AM UPDATE: Davie Fl. we are getting hurricane squalls at times flooding everywhere tornado warnings everywhere and we are not getting the worst till 12 PM. Naples, Ft Myers, Tampa will be devastated on this one if you guys can get to safe shelter do it most houses will not withstand cat 4 winds your roofs will come off. I am getting the outskirts right now not even at the closest point that will come around noon. This storm is massive take this as a good warning. I wish you guys the best.
