So this is happening at my house...
Wife and I decided for our 20th anniversary (July 8th) that we would get something that will last alittle longer than a one week vacation. The kids were pretty happy with the plan.

Sure...floating pool table...it is all about displacement.
Just do not make any waves! |

its all dirt around it now because we have to wait for some of the fill to settle. after that its a three foot walk way on the far side of the last picture and on the right side, and 8' deck between the pool and the house and about 10' on the end with the stairs. should be about another month and we're all in and not getting dirty every time. I will need to build a low retaining wall on the house and stair sides to divert water, then a fence around the other two sides so I dont have to worry so much about critters falling in.

Actually the garage will go on the far end of the pool, on the end of the house. We got the designs all done and after the pool is finished we will start shopping them around to different contractors. That will be a whole new thread though.

Congrats on the anniversary, and good luck with the pool. We just took ours down after about 15 years. Nobody used it anymore

Just be damn sure about the grading and stability of the concrete portions, so it don't drain in a bad direction,
Like a pool one of the investors has down here, pool skirt slopes to the back porch, and so all the rain drain runs into the screened in porch, I not noticed any drain from there, house under rehab and the neglect from P/O is obvious, very major undertaking going on for months now....Wife/her son doing rather minor portions of it..... |
