Not yet Rob, the power was out again here all day so just now getting back online.

Tata made a run over to town today and I forgot to ask him pick up tape.

I want to unbox everything again like last year and get pics while getting total counts again.

I had started out making notes of girl vs boy toys in the beginning and shopped separate.

But towards the end it all just got bunched in on the same pages... so lost track.

I do know I am lacking on baby toys, cheap stuffed animals and rattles, stuff like that.

And probably still need to get more Barbie dolls as we bought them out.

There is one more smaller store I can go to to help fill in the missing things we need.

I also want to buy lots and lots of candy, and will drive around the island tossing it out to the kids like we did last year.

Also we are having basketball tournaments here this year so can not use the plaza on Christmas eve, so plan to do this party Christmas Day this year instead.

We will be much more organized than last year so things will go faster.. but we need to wrap it all up by around 8PM that evening as there is a Disco here Christmas Evening.

We will head over to Sillion the day after with all of the left over toys for the other village.

As soon as I get some tape to tape the boxes all back up after photos and inventory I will get photos posted for everyone.

We cant do it today.. Basket ball tournaments still.. but will do it tomorrow on Christmas day here.

I'm getting ready to head over to town to pick up some more girl toys, and candy.

There will be plenty of Christmas Carolers here later today and tonight.

Might also get a few sacks of rice to divide up into smaller sacks for game winners if time, if not we can do a number draw raffle.

Disco tomorrow night here also after our Christmas party... so might be a few days probably for posting pics.

I'm still undecided on who will be Santa..

I'm a better promoter than I am an actor.. LOL!

Tim, I highly encourage you to be Santa there this year. The eyes looking up from the basketball court and the smiles and warmth of a child hugging you, saying thank you, and blessing you for what is a small token to us, means all the world to them.

For the hours I sat up there last year, there were many moments I wanted to break down and cry because I saw Joy through the eyes of those children and knew it had been created by the people here with love and charity.

Do yourself a favor this year, give yourself this one gift that will bless you and remain in your heart forever.

As promised I have lots of pics for you all...

It turned out to be a great day, but lots of things went wrong...

Rain.. and more Rain, then it stopped, but came back again..

The best video we made did not work for some reason so was lost.

I think it was operator error, but I will take the blame as I was the teacher for the photo girl..

The video showed Santa coming up the street waving at all the kids in the crowd.. then as they were coming up to the basketball court, he started throwing candy up in the air, the kids were a mob of wild and crazy candy chasers for a brief few minutes..

Also the other videos that I took.. the sound did not work out, the one had all of the kids saying Merry Christmas to The Vette Barn! then sang Jingle Bells for all of you guys and gals.

I will try to upload it later anyways, the sound quality really sucks but maybe you can hear it some.

What we did this year to make things faster was everyone picked a number and that was the order that they were called up to the stage to get their gifts.

This way we could call them up 10 at a time instead of one at a time, also it was luck of the draw who got first choices on the toys.

I will start off with a lot of pics of everything getting set up.

And then just move on to random photos up to and getting their toys.

We let them just come through the line and pick out what they wanted for themselves.

Here are a few of the sound system showing up to start.

By the way.. we started about noon and were finished by 4PM, and the Germans Ruth & Wolfgang showed up right as we were packing up the left over toys.. with even more toys!

Tata helped announce and oversee their toys give away also, then about 5PM we headed over to Sillion to the new village that Islamic Relief built, with the rest of they toys so wrapped it all up in one day this year.
