Just to update everyone on how we are doing so far.. we now have $620 so almost half way there to our goal already.

People who have sent funds in for the Kids Christmas Toys this year in the order received so far.

There are also a few people without paypal accounts that are mailing checks to Dixie, so he can add to the total when he knows how much they were for.

As most of you already know, almost none of these kids ever got anything for Christmas until last year for the first time in their life... and it all happened because of everyone here that helped!

I hope to bring a lot of smiles to them again this year.

Some pics posted from last year the night of the day I picked Rob up at the airport in the city.

This was the smaller Christmas party for just a few kids in the city, before we did the big Christmas party a few days later.

I just grabbed the quote from last years post to make it easier for some to see that were not here last year.

We posted a lot more photos from the big one, but I can't seem to find the thread.

Found it!

Wow, it was over 800 toys we gave away! I thought 600... My memory is bad a year later..

To explain better how it stretched so far, for the babies and little ones I only bought small stuffed animals, baby rattles and other cheap baby toys, and we let their mothers just pick what they wanted.

This was just me and a couple others throwing out candy to the kids as we were driving down the road.



These are the kids I have been fortunate enough to meet and even see on my second trip over there.

This is what I was looking at all night as we handed out presents...




Not to mention that just about every kid got one of these when they walked off the stage after receiving their present from Santa. (and it was really dang good - I wish I could get some pancit like that here)






As I said in my ThanksGiving thread, even the smallest stone creates a ripple.

And $5 will buy a gift for two children if you care to help.



I just know what impact this makes over there to those kids and those families.
