1972 Corvette clock replacement

How do I remove the center insterment cluster to get to the clock ? do I need to remove any part or all of the center console to get th insterment cluster out ? After the insterment cluster is out what's next ? Is this a job I should take on ?

It has been a while but there are screws that are visible and if you have AC, the top center vent comes out as a sub-assembly. The pain in the rear part is all the bulbs and wires. Mine was fortunately stamped with the colors, but it is still a pain.

Getting to the clock at that point is not so bad. It didn't take very long at all.
