The real problem here is the government had all this information and STILL went ahead with the prosecution ONLY for political gain.

Durham prosecutor did this on the infamous "rape case" of a stripper at a frat house. Ruined the kids lives he went after, was removed from office eventually and sued.
It was kind of the start to this shit at least here in NC anyway. We don't prosecute on facts and evid... We go after whatever can get use elected.

There was no justice. Nifong actually only spent one day in jail. One day in jail for maliciously attempting to ruin the lives of multiple, non criminal kids with futures. He didn't get the punishment he deserved, not at all.

I can't recall the settlement those kids received but whatever it was wasn't enough. Fired the coach d canceled the season over an accusation that was completely made up. She should have went to jail for it.

I'm wondering if the defense even needs to present anything. Wow..the prosecution royally ****ed up by ordering the police not to look in the the armless soy boy's phone when they had a warrant.

I hope the kid wins his case and then goes on to sue the media who learned nothing from Nick Sandman. Then I hope he can sue to state for malicious prosecution and push to have the lawyers involved with the prosecution disbarred.

I'm all for public information and all but court rooms don't need cameras. They're only used to sway public opinion not the jurors. Started as a farce with OJ trial and hasn't gotten better.
